Hi there! I am a little late, but happy to be here to share with you all the February Larkindesign digital collection titled: The Heart is Home. It’s all about the good feels of being home, where the heart is, feeling cozy and happy.
I wanted to share a look at all that’s included in this month’s release, plus one of two layouts I created using a mixture of items from the collection.
So first, let’s take a closer look at what’s included in this month’s release.
The colors this month are so soft and gentle to the eyes. With pops of colors here and there, pinks, and some lovely blacks and whites. So pretty!
I would love to start with this gorgeous set of 12×12 patterned papers!
Then, there is a set of 3×4 journaling and filler cards.
There’s also a set of 4×6 journaling and filler cards:
Then, every month there is a freebie cutfile. This freebie is available every month starting on the first Friday of the month and is only free thru that weekend until 9 AM EST on Monday morning. Don’t miss out! You can find it all on the Larkindesign Blog. After the freebie period is over, you may still get your hands on it on the shop for a small price!
Later in the month, Theresa also released a set of photo templates that can be used for project life or however you might feel creative with it. I havent had a chance to use these, but I’ve been thinking up ideas on how I could incorporate them in my scrapbooking.
So that’s this month’s beautiful release at Larkindesign!
I had so much fun working with it and getting creative. There’s really so much to work with if you take advantage of the full collection, so you’re guaranteed and array of ideas to use up these digital goodies.
If you are interested in finding some of the Creative Team’s inspiration you can do so here.
Now, as promised, here is a look at a layout I created using the Diamonds cutfile and the gorgeous floral patterned paper from this month’s collection.
So other than using the Diamonds Cutfile on vellum to back my 8 1/2 x 11 paper, I decided to cut out the flowers and, wait for it… MINC them!!
Yes, I busted put my Minc and my gosh, they make the florals look majestic!!
I added so many fun details to this layout as well, like stitching throughout a few parts of the layout so that the threads show just a tiny bit above the cutfile and under my embellishments.
The quote card is also part of the collection as one of the 4×6 cards. I simply cut around the quoted box and florals and then layered that above another floral 4×6 journaling card.
Here’s a few more fun details shots for you to enjoy:
I am so happy with how this layout turned out!
It’s a fun mix of tiny details that create a beautiful scenery around my photo of myself holding my precious 3 month old.
So, friends, that is it for today!
I do have to say that I’m sorry for showing up so late in the month to share all of these goodies. In fact, it’s almost time to share what’s coming in March, but that’s all for another post.
I hope you enjoyed today’s look at the February Larkindesign collection, The Heart is Home, and my inspo as well. I will be back very soon with more paper crafting inspiration for you all. Until then, stay crafty loves!
