Double Project Share with Technique Tuesday

Hi crafty friends! It’s been quite a while since I’ve popped on here to share some craftiness with you, but I am excited to be back to share not one – but TWO awesome projects today!

I am joining Technique Tuesday today in their Birthday Promo! I love sharing these projects with you all because I get the opportunity to share some fun discount codes on top of some pretty awesome scrappy inspiration.

Today I am featuring two different stamp and die bundles – each one unique and simply beautiful in their own way, with some birthday themes. These are some of my favorite kinds of stamps because you can use them over and over again during the year to celebrate your friends and family.

Monochromatic Lavender Card

First I would like to share with you the first bundle I got to work with. This one was the Lovely Lavender Stamp Set with Matching Dies pictured below.

As you can see, you get a beautiful floral stamp with a matching die. The you have four stamping sentiments to go with it, so you have options that go for many occasions. The die set also has a sweet sentiment that says “love you” which gives you an option to create at least 5 different types of cards. Isn’t that a great deal?

I made a card with this stamp and die set using the birthday sentiment. I decided to create a monochromatic card and stuck to the lavender/purple tones.

Here is a closeup of the card below. I used some of my watercolors to add color to the stamped lavenders, and I used the matching die to easily cut it out.

Here is a Pro Tip: when creating a card that uses coloring, sometimes, your stamped ink might smudge. I would recommend you use a stamping tool like the Misty, or I used the WRMK Stamping Platform, because this allows for you to keep control of where your stamp will land without any guessing between the layers. I like to use this stamping tool to add a top layer to my lavender stamp — all without loosing my place and keeping your image looking crisp!

12×12 Birthday Layout

For my second project I have a super fun 12×12 layout using a second set of stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday.

This set is called Scrapbook Birthday Stamp Set and Large Happy Birthday Crafting Dies Bundle, and it is fabulous!

I was challenged to create a memory keeping project with this stamp and die set so I worked up a fun 12×12 layout using both the stamps and dies.

I used a very feminine theme to document my daughters 2nd birthday. I used some of my favorite stamps to add an extra pattern to my top and bottom borders atop of the patterned papers.

I also die cut the “happy birthday” die six times to use around my floral cluster. I added lots of fun elements to the cluster including a background with glitter paste using a stencil, a folded accordion using some matching paper, and lots of colorful gems.

I love all of the layers, stamping, and colors of this layout! I hope you are feeling inspired to create your very own birthday themed projects using these stamps.
